Being able to teach instrument rating courses strengthens your skills as a pilot because you will still learn even though you are teaching others. You can never have enough experience in instrument rating as airlines and corporations value that time. You will have a clear advantage in your pursuit if you have an extensive background in instrument rating.

Flight training is a highly individualized process and the actual number of hours required to reach a standard will vary significantly by candidate. Part 61 CFII training is “train to proficiency,” meaning that the course takes only as long as the student needs to learn the material, therefore Part 61 pricing is especially difficult to predict.

As with every school, actual costs vary depending on each student’s unique abilities. Our price quotes are based on expected minimum required hours under FAR Part 61 regulations and do not include any applicable examiner fees, student visa fees, TSA fees, knowledge exam costs, textbooks, or accommodations. Fuel Surcharges may apply and are subject to change without notice. Programs may vary between our locations. There is a one-time enrollment fee for all CTI Professional Flight Training students.
