Certified Flight Instructor Airplane Single Engine

Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) – Airplane Certificate

Flight Instructor trainingIf you truly enjoy flying and have a knack for teaching others, why not get paid to do it? AT CTI Professional Flight Training, we provide Certified Flight Instructor training in Fort Lauderdale or Tennessee for anyone who holds a commercial pilot license. Expand on your skills as a pilot and build up more hours in the air while you are instructing other prospective pilots. CFI certification is also a necessary step one must take in order to advance in commercial aviation and become a professional pilot.

Obtaining a commercial pilot license is only the beginning of a long journey to a successful career as a professional pilot. Before an airline or corporation will even consider hiring a pilot, the pilot needs to have as much experience and flight hours as possible. Airlines prefer pilots who have spent time instructing others because it shows a high level of engagement and understanding of flight principles.  As a matter of fact, some airlines require several hundred hours of flight time and the best way to accumulate that necessary experience is to become a Certified Flight Instructor.

Our CFI training course for single engine airplanes will help you grow as a pilot and prepare you to help other pilots grow. If you live in South Florida or the Memphis, Tennessee area and are interested in becoming a Certified Flight Instructor, contact us.

This course may be taken in conjunction with our CFII course.

Requirements: Applicant must hold an FAA Third Class Medical and Commercial Pilot Certificate, single engine land with instrument rating or ATP certificate. This course is usually conducted under FAR part 61, but may be conducted as Part 141 if the student chooses.

Approximate base price: $5,495.00

Flight training is a highly individualized process and the actual number of hours required to reach a standard will vary significantly by candidate. Part 61 CFI training is “train to proficiency,” meaning that the course takes only as long as the student needs to learn the material, therefore Part 61 pricing is especially difficult to predict.

As with every school, actual costs vary depending on each student’s unique abilities. Our price quotes are based on expected minimum required hours under FAR Part 61 regulations and do not include any applicable examiner fees, student visa fees, TSA fees, knowledge exam costs, textbooks, or accommodations. Fuel Surcharges may apply and are subject to change without notice. Programs may vary between our locations. There is a one-time enrollment fee for all CTI Professional Flight Training students.
