VIDEO: A typical day of flight training

Ever wondered what a typical day of flight training is like for our students at CTI PFT?  Well, now you can find out!  One of our students, Arjun Prasad, has put together this excellent video to give you a taste of what it’s like to train with us.

The video begins with Arjun’s morning drive to our Tennessee campus in Millington.  After a quick wave to colleagues on his arrival, he takes us through to the public computers via the bright and welcoming waiting area.  Arjun then checks the day’s weather and flight schedules before demonstrating some essential pre-flight prep, including completing the navigation log.

Once these necessary tasks are complete, Arjun heads out to the concourse where the Diamond DA20-C1 awaits!  Luckily for us, he gets some great shots of the aircraft while carrying out his important safety checks.  As soon as he’s sure everything’s in order, Arjun pulls back the panoramic canopy and climbs on board.

Once inside, we get a pilot’s perspective of the DA-20.  Arjun starts working the control panel, and we find ourselves in the passenger seat as he prepares for take-off!  Listen in to his exchange with the air traffic controller as he waits for the all-clear for Runway 4…

Finally, Arjun is ready for take-off.  As he makes his flight over Tennessee towards Arkansas, check out the patchwork of fields below and the gorgeous blue skies – this is what life’s like for a trainee pilot at CTI PFT!
