Can you guess America’s top airports? We’ve already shown you the best airports in the world, but here are the best airports in the US, according to Condé Nast readers:
Top of the spot, travelers love Indianapolis because of its fantastic design. When the new terminal opened in 2008, it was built so customers could move swiftly through security, saving delays. It’s modern, it’s bright, it’s airy – and passengers love it!
Portland always does well in lists like this – it’s incredibly well connected to the city, making things easier for passengers. It’s easy to navigate, and even pilots have expressed their preference for flying to and from here. It’s also friendly, with free Wi-Fi and great shops.
Good connections are clearly important to passengers, and that’s why they like PVD. Trains run to Providence and Boston, as well as to Foxboro for Patriots games, making everywhere easy to get to. The airport’s also small, so it’s difficult to get lost!
Tampa was the first airport that offered shuttle services, and these still work as well as they did over 50 years ago. The airport’s easy to navigate and near to downtown Tampa, so passengers don’t have far to travel at the beginning or end of their journey.
Still a relatively quiet airport for the region, passengers prefer Palm Beach for its slower, more chilled atmosphere. There’s even a putting green for practicing your golf before catching your flight – how unique is that?!
The designers of AUS have done all they can to put a miniature version of Austin all under one roof. Wake up with some Austin Java Coffee or tuck into some Salt Lick Bar-B-Que, before catching some live music at one of airport’s six music venues. No, we’re not kidding!
Not to be confused with Portland, Oregon, this jetport is in Portland, Maine, and is just outside this friendly city. It’s been praised for its easy navigation, as well as its selection of local craft beer – not to mention its lobster rolls…
Passengers love Salt Lake City because it combines the best of both worlds – a small, navigable airport with destinations all over the world. It’s close to downtown and has been praised for its cleanliness and restaurants. It also has a fantastic view of the mountains!
You may have just landed at BNA, but you won’t rush to leave – there’s too much to take in first! Check out some art exhibits before reading about the history of Music City. And don’t forget to toe-tap along to some live local music!
Remember a time when flying was glamorous – and relive it all over again at Long Beach Airport. The terminal dates to the 1940s, and the new concourse is lined with palm trees for a touch of California style. The outdoor wine bar goes down well with customers too.
