Private Pilot Training – what does it involve?
Our basic private pilot training program qualifies you to fly single engine aircraft in as little as 4-6 weeks, depending on your ability. You’ll learn everything you need to know about flying a single engine airplane, both through on-the-ground and in-the-air training. You’ll train in either a Piper Warrior II or a Diamond DA20 – both superb for novice pilots.
What do I need to apply?
You must be 17 years old to begin your private pilot training. You also need to hold a FAA third-class medical with student pilot certificate.
What will I learn?
Our experienced flight instructors will take you through everything you need to know to fly a plane. This spans everything from pre-flight safety checks, route plotting and navigation, and – of course – handling the aircraft.
How much does it cost?
The total cost of your training will be $8,975.00. This is broken down in the following way:
Dual instruction: $5,778.00
Solo Flight: $1,272.00
Classroom instruction: $1,925.00
There is also a one-time enrollment fee of $500 for all students at CTI Professional Flight Training. Please also note the costs above may vary depending on your unique abilities – after all, we’ll always tailor your training to you!
