When you’re busy training at CTI PFT’s Florida campus, it’s easy to build an appetite, so here’s our guide to eating out in Fort Lauderdale! Luckily, the city has some amazing places to refuel – here are our favorites for when your stomach’s next rumbling…
Rocco’s Tacos knows how to please when it comes to authentic Mexican fare. With all food prepared on site – including table-side-made guacamole – you’ll enjoy a fiesta of fresh food, bursting with flavor. Open from late morning to early morning, it’s also the perfect party spot, with an incredible 225 varieties of Tequila on the menu!
Welcome to the ultimate fusion of sun, surf, and sand with steak, seafood, and sushi! Serving brunch, lunch and dinner, S3 is proud of its freshly-caught ingredients, premium cuts, and specialties. With indoor and outdoor seating options, as well as breath-taking sea views, S3 is a perfect place to unwind as you enjoy your meal.
Widely reputed to offer the best burgers in town, Rck:Brgr offers an awesome gastropub experience with craft beer and specialty burgers. You can also find salads, meatloaf, and even fish and chips on the menu – but take some time for the wild burger creations, including The Fat Elvis, The Drunken Pretzel and The Truffle Burger! There’s a reason why these guys have won the prize for the Best Burger in Florida…
For something a little more special, Steak 954 fits the bill. This oceanfront spot serving breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner offers some of the best steaks in town. Think 28-day dry-aged filets, New York strips, and ribeyes, not to mention the outdoor tropical garden and huge jellyfish tank! A little pricier than our other picks but perfect for a special occasion (such as when you get your pilot’s license…)
Enjoy authentic Italian pizza and gelato in South Florida! Owned by Italians, pick up a real taste of Italy from this excellent counter-service take-out, and find out why it’s a Ft Lauderdale favorite. Choose from one of their popular pizza toppings or create your own, indulge in pizza pies or a focaccia sandwich, or cool down with delicious gelato, milkshakes, and smoothies – delizioso!
For something completely different, why not learn how to cook your meal before eating it? That’s exactly what Chef Jean-Pierre offers with his dinner demonstrations! He’ll show you how to prepare every aspect of your meal before serving up the delicious creations he’s made before your very eyes. Again, expect to pay a little more for the privilege, but how often do you get to leave a restaurant with the recipes…?
So whether you’re dining with family or fellow students, you have to agree – eating out in Fort Lauderdale is nearly as good flying!
