If there’s one thing better than a Discovery Flight, it’s a free Discovery Flight! What’s more,  we’re giving you a rare chance to win one in our unmissable essay competition!

If you’re a Senior in High School, a College Student or a young professional who is now looking for the chance to seek a career in aviation, we want to hear from you. All you need to do is to write your answer to the essay question: “How would a subsidy for Private Pilot flight training help you start/launch a successful aviation career?”. Once we’ve received your entry, you’ll be in with a chance of winning a free Discovery Flight!

The essay

Your essay can be as long or as short as you wish to make it. There is no word count. All we simply want to know is the impact that a flight training subsidy may have on you. Your answer can be as wide-ranging as you wish to make it; after all, we know the impact a subsidy could have may be very different from one individual to another. So tell us all about the effects it could have on you, whatever they may be!

The deadline

All essays need to be returned to us by Thursday 15 February 2018. You can email your entry to fly@ctipft.com. Even better, you won’t need to wait long for the results – we’ll be announcing our winner the very next day on Friday 16 February!

The prize – a free Discovery Flight!

Our lucky winner will see themselves taking to the skies in one of our Diamond DA20s – our most popular two-seat trainer. Don’t worry – you won’t be alone; one of our professional flight instructors will be with you along the way, explaining everything about the aircraft, the instruments and what happens once you’re soaring high.

If you wish to, you can take control of the airplane under their expert guidance, or you could simply sit back, enjoy the view from above, and get a real feel for what life is like for a pilot in a cockpit. It’s entirely up to you – after all, this is your Discovery Flight!
