Things to do in Memphis Fall 2020
A lot of people think that there’s nothing to do in Memphis this Fall because of COVID-19. The good news is that’s not true. Local event organizers are still hosting some traditional fall Memphis events this Autumn. Many will be outdoors and socially-distanced and having limited capacity, but there will still be events for people to enjoy. Memphis Tigers Football
This year’s Tigers football season is underway. You can still make it in person to watch them play at Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium, but there is very limited capacity. Games can be canceled or postponed with short notice so make sure to check the latest news before heading to the stadium if you have a ticket.
Indie Memphis Film Fest – October 21-29
The Indie Memphis Film Festival showcases hundreds of films, and this year can enjoy the annual event in three different ways. Films will be shown online, outdoors, and at drive-in locations. Sign up for your specific movie screening soon because tickets are limited.
Repair Days 2020 – Metal Museum – October 22-25
Bring your old, rusted, and otherwise damaged metal items to the Metal Museum for a little TLC. During Repair Days, the museum’s crew of blacksmiths and metalworkers will fix your items for a fee, which benefits the museum. Schedule a time and drop off your metal for repairs.
Virtual Art on Fire 2020 – October 24
The Dixon takes their annual fire-fueled fundraiser online this year with an online art sale, auction, and fire spinning shows broadcast through the Hopin website. VIP tickets start at $150 for two and come with Dixon Membership, boozy desserts, full-size liqueur, exclusive programming and other goodies. Proceeds benefit the Dixon’s art education and outreach programs.
