What is an FTA?

As an FTA, we work alongside Liberty University to offer flight training to students who are engaged in the university’s online Aviation degree. This gives you the option to earn a degree from Liberty online while covering all your practical training with us!

And you can guarantee that as a named FTA and an FAA Approved Part 141 flight school, we’ve been accredited by Liberty University due to the quality of the training and support we provide our students.

What about Liberty University?

Liberty University is based in Lynchburg, Virginia, in the state’s Piedmont region. Over the years, it has grown to become the largest university in Virginia and the largest private, non-profit university in the country.

Liberty University is an accredited institution, meaning all of its study programs have met strict academic standards. It is also an evangelical institution which promises to equip students with the values, knowledge, and skills they’ll need for life beyond college.

However, if you’re seeking to undertake your B.S. in Aviation, there’s no need to up sticks and move to Virginia. You can stay in the comfort of your own home and study online, supported by our flight schools in either Tennessee or Florida.

What’s included in the B.S. Aviation?

The course is offered by LU’s School of Aeronautics and covers everything you need to know to become a professional pilot, as well as developing your knowledge of the whole industry of aviation. You can find out more about the degree program in detail here.

If you’re studying full time, you should complete your degree in about two and a half years, and we can offer flexible training to suit you – including accelerated, evening or weekend schedules.

How to apply

You will need to apply for your course directly to Liberty University, which you can do online. If you’re successful, you will then be able to select CTI Professional Flight Training as your flight training affiliate of Liberty University.
